Paul Pogba’s representative Mino Raiola has indicated that the Frenchman will be staying with Manchester United ahead of the forthcoming transfer window.
Raiola has had a mixed relationship with the United hierarchy and he had publicly stated over the summer that his client could head through the exit door at Old Trafford.
However, that clearly did not happen and Pogba has since endured a frustrating season where he has spent most of the time on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
Still, there has been constant speculation with regards to the midfielder’s future but Raiola has stressed that the 26-year-old is clearly content to work under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at United.
“I go by what he [Solskjaer] says. He [Pogba] will not move, and that’s OK. We are good with them. Paul is a little bit struggling with his injury that we tried to resolve and I think that’s our main interest now,” he told Sky Sports News, as quoted by The Mirror.
Pogba has made a couple of second-half appearances in the Premier League since his injury comeback but he was recently rested for the 2-0 triumph over Burnley on the road.
He is likely to make his comeback for the New Year’s Day clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, where United have the chance to win a third league game on the bounce.
The Red Devils are presently four points behind Chelsea in the pursuit of the final Champions League spot. The club have a busy schedule in January, where they will be active across three different competitions.
