Michael Carrick to make four Man Utd changes vs Nottingham Forest as Patrick Dorgu starts

Manchester United face Nottingham Forest in their final home game of the Premier League season on Sunday.

The Red Devils have already qualified for next season’s Champions League, but manager Michael Carrick will want to end the campaign on a high note.

United are presently on 65 points after 36 matches. The onus should be on breaching the 70-point mark with back-to-back wins to conclude the season.

Ahead of Sunday’s early kick-off at Old Trafford, we anticipate Carrick to make four changes to the XI.

The first change could be at right-back with Diogo Dalot replacing Noussair Mazraoui.

Mazraoui got the nod to start in the goalless draw against Sunderland last weekend. He struggled to cope with the direct running of Chemsdine Talbi.

The Moroccan played the entire 90 minutes at the Stadium of Light, but we believe he has not been able to lay down the challenge to Dalot for the position.

Dalot should be reinstated on the right side of United’s backline.

Casemiro is poised to return in the heart of the midfield after missing the Wearside trip with a minor injury. The Brazilian will be playing his final home game for United.

The former Real Madrid man has been a revelation since confirming his exit at the end of his contract this summer. He will surely be eyeing a goal contribution on Sunday.

Casemiro will replace Mason Mount, who failed to capitalise on a rare start against Sunderland.

Elsewhere, Amad Diallo could be axed from the XI after another lacklustre outing from the right wing. The Ivorian has not scored or assisted for the club since the turn of the year.

Patrick Dorgu has made two substitute appearances from the left flank since his injury comeback.

The Dane has been fantastic since operating as a winger for the Red Devils. He has scored some vital goals from the left wing, but has also dazzled occasionally from the right.

His most memorable winner against Newcastle United came operating on the right flank. The £25 million signing also starred in the position at Lecce. We fancy him to start there.

Upfront, Joshua Zirkzee could make way for Bryan Mbeumo. Benjamin Sesko has been nursing a shin injury and looks unlikely to be fit to make the matchday squad.

Like Mount, Zirkzee failed to capitalise on a big opportunity last weekend. The Dutchman won just four out of 11 duels attempted and lost possession on nine occasions.

The former Bologna man will most certainly head for the exit door this summer. On Sunday, Mbeumo could be tasked with operating as the false striker for the Red Devils.
