A section of the Manchester United fans have praised the performance of midfielder Juan Mata during the club’s comfortable 4-0 win over Norwich City in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Spaniard has been in-and-out of the starting lineup for the league duties this term but he managed to last the entire game against Norwich where he impressed with his distribution and crossing.
Mata was able to control the proceedings from the right side of the attack with a passing success rate of 90 percent and he was able to provide two superb crosses into the box, contributing to the goals scored by Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
This has certainly caught the eye of a number of United supporters on Twitter and a few of them have expressed their pleasure over the Spaniard’s dominant display against the Canaries, which helped United register their first win of the calendar year.
Twitter Reactions:
Just because he lacks pace..
Will never understand why Juan Mata is the brunt of criticism on here, two delicious assists today, I'll never have an issue with him being a bit part player for this team.

Juan Mata really should be given an extended run in the side & surround him with the pace & runners & let him do his thing. The most creative player at the club

Great to see Juan Mata back to his best today. Sumptuous assist for Rashford’s first and very unlucky to miss out on our Official Man of the Match award, by just 2 per cent! #mufc

United have been yearning for a creative midfielder in the ranks and of late, there has been the speculation that the club are looking into a possible transfer move for Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon.
Amidst this, Mata has come up with one of his best performances for United in a long time but there are still doubts whether the Spaniard can repeat the showing when he comes up against teams, who are better drilled and organised than Norwich.
Solskjaer’s side have reclaimed the fifth spot in the Premier League table from Sheffield United with the victory but they are still five points behind Chelsea in the pursuit of the final Champions League spot for next season.
