Martial and McTominay start, Predicted Man United lineup (4-2-3-1) to face Bournemouth

Manchester United have the opportunity to register a fourth successive away win across all competitions when they face Bournemouth on the road on Saturday. The Red Devils are already seven points behind the top four positions in the Premier League but they have the chance of closing the gap by picking back-to-back league triumphs for the first time this season.

Predicted Lineup:

Goalkeeper:

David de Gea is expected to return between the sticks for the South Coast trip. The Spaniard was completely rested for the midweek League Cup fourth round tie against Chelsea but he is due to start against the Cherries as he remains the club’s undisputed goalkeeping choice for the Premier League.

Defence:

Both Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof picked up knocks during the League Cup tie but they are likely to make their comebacks after participating in full training on Friday. The pair should take up the central defensive positions.

At right-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is an automatic choice for a starting spot and in the opposite end of the central defence, Ashley Young is likely to get the pick over Brandon Williams despite the youngster impressing in the Cup competitions this term.

Midfield:

The midfield choices remain limited for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with Paul Pogba sidelined with an ankle problem until December while Nemanja Matic is likewise expected to miss the game as he continues to recover from an unspecified injury.

In this case, Scott McTominay and Fred will definitely take up the midfield positions and the duo deserve their starting spots based on recent displays. Fred has impressed with his tackling and workrate from the centre of the park. McTominay, meanwhile, has recently brought an extra dimension to his game with the ability to score key goals for the side.

Attack:

Jesse Lingard had another frustrating game at Stamford Bridge where he struggled to create anything in the final third. He is likely to be replaced by Andreas Pereira in the number 10 position. Elsewhere, Daniel James and Marcus Rashford should be fancied to feature in the wide attacking positions.

Rashford was the star of the show during the recent League Cup tie where he converted a penalty and scored from a stupendous free-kick. He is certainly the player to watch for with four goals from the past three starts and his link-up play with Anthony Martial upfront will be interesting to watch once more.
