Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram already has a contract offer from Manchester United, according to Gazzetta dello Sport (page 11).
The Frenchman has had a fine season with Monchengladbach, scoring 16 goals and providing seven assists from 31 appearances in all competitions.
He will be leaving them when his contract expires on June 30 and Gazzetta dello Sport reveal that the 25-year-old has a proposal from United on the table.
Thuram has yet to agree terms with any club and it is claimed that he is also aware of the long-term interest from Inter, who have offered a five-year deal.
Thuram would be a quality rotation player
Thuram started his career as a left winger but over the past year, he has played as the main man up front.
The former Guingamp graduate has 23 goal contributions for Monchengladbach this term but has also impressed with his work rate when out of possession.
Thuram has won an impressive 4.7 duels per game with one key pass. He has also caught the eye with his dribbling and possesses a strong physical presence.
United boss Erik ten Hag may not see Thuram as a regular starter but could be used in regular rotation.
With his ability to play on the left wing or up front, he could get regular minutes off the bench.
It is left to be seen whether Thuram would accept such a role, given United are expected to pursue a marquee striker during the summer.
In comparison, the World Cup finalist could be guaranteed a starting spot alongside Lautaro Martinez if he were to join Inter on a free transfer.
