Marcus Rashford MBE given special treatment ahead of England vs Belgium

Let’s get on a common consensus: we are all proud of Marcus Rashford MBE – irrespective of the fanbase we belong to.

He was awarded the MBE after campaigning for the UK Government to allow over 1.3m children to claim free school meal vouchers in the country’s summer holidays during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We gave him a special round of applause in the morning,” said England boss Gareth Southgate.

“As a group, we have watched him grow up. I say that but he’s still only 22, you can only marvel at what he has achieved and even the kids who don’t understand now will be incredibly grateful to him in the years to come.”

In an interview, Rashford claims it is just a start and he’ll use his position to directly approach Prime Minister Boris Johnson to solve these issues.

While dark clouds surround Old Trafford with recent defeats to Crystal Palace and Spurs, this is a fresh breath of air for the United faithful.

Rashford is poised to make his first start in the international break against Belgium.

Rashford has a big couple of weeks ahead of us after the international break as United face PSG, Chelsea, RB Leipzig and Arsenal.
