Camavinga, 17, has been linked with a move out of France after becoming a first-team regular in defensive midfield.
But, Camavinga is under contract at Rennes until 2022 and told his current plans were to remain at the Ligue 1 club.
The midfielder spoke to Telefoot regarding the rumours and had this to say: “I have two years of contract left. I will be at Rennes this season,”
“It doesn’t bother me at all. It’s football. “There are true things and false things.”
Camavinga said he was unfazed about the rumours regarding his future.
Camavinga broke on to the scene as a 16-year-old in the 2018-19 season, making seven appearances for Rennes towards the back end of the campaign.
The French U21 midfielder continued his development during the recent cut-short season, playing in 36 games, scoring one goal and getting two assists. It is not about his numbers but his gameplay which has the best European clubs getting in line to secure his services.
Man Utd has previously been linked with Camavinga this season with L’Equipe saying at the time that ‘obviously’ the Premier League club was part of the chasing pack in the hunt for Camavinga’s signature.
The Metro claims that the Red Devils ‘have made more than a dozen checks on the midfielder in the last 12 months’ with United’s head of global scouting, Marcel Bout, making a ‘personal check on the teenager’.
Manchester United has implemented a youth-oriented transfer policy since the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and was hoping to continue it with the acquisition of Eduardo Camavinga. United have also signed 17-year-old Filip Stevanovic from Partizan earlier this month.
