Manchester United want Ajax forward Amourricho van Axel Dongen

Manchester United are keeping tabs on Ajax forward Amourricho van Axel Dongen, reports Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 18-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and clubs are watching him.

Van Axel Dongen has been offered a new four-year deal by the Eredivisie club.

However, the terms are not what he and his representatives want and he could leave.

Man United are monitoring the situation with keen interest and could swoop.

Will Erik ten Hag sign another Ajax player this summer?

Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag knows the teenage sensation from his time at the club.

He has plans to bolster his attack in the summer, and the chance to sign a forward for free will be enticing.

Van Axel Dongen is an exciting winger and is highly rated by Ajax.

He is yet to establish himself in the first team, but he has the talent and potential to become a star.

Man United will be able to offer him better financial terms, and that could appeal to him.

A chance to also prove himself in the Premier League and play under Ten Hag could see him agree to a move.

The Red Devils boss has never hesitated to hand youngsters a chance.

He did so at Ajax and has done it regularly at the Old Trafford club.

Ten Hag knows what Van Axel Dongen is capable of and would love to have him in his ranks.

He was awarded the Abdelhak Nouri trophy as the best talent of Ajax’s youth academy at the end of 2020-21.

It is a huge feat given the number of quality youngsters available at the club.

He could soon be playing for a bigger club, and Man United will hope to land him.
