Manchester United want £40m for Tottenham and West Ham target Scott McTominay

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined the transfer race for Manchester United’s Scott McTominay.

The 27-year-old was a key member of Erik ten Hag’s first-team last season, scoring 10 goals in 43 games across all competitions.

However, the Red Devils are reportedly prepared to sell him if they receive an offer of £40 million, according to The Sun

Fulham and West Ham United have been attempting to sign the Scotland international, and Tottenham Hotspur have now joined the transfer race.

They have identified McTominay as an option after failing to secure a deal for Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher.

Manchester United recently confirmed the signing of Leny Yoro from Lille, while Joshua Zirkzee arrived at Old Trafford from Bologna last week.

However, they are expected to make more quality additions to bolster their ranks ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.

The Red Devils have already sold Donny van de Beek, Willy Kambwala and Mason Greenwood, but they could also cash in on McTominay.

He has a year left on his contract, although the club have the option to extend it by 12 months.

Ten Hag reportedly wants to keep McTominay, but he is not regarded as a first-team regular and may be sold to generate transfer funds for the club.
