As per Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have offered to sign Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele on a loan deal. They’ve offered to pay 100% of the current wages + a loan fee to the club.
Both Barcelona and Dembele wants a permanent move but United are pushing for a loan deal.
As per La Liga’s rules, clubs need to sell before they can buy. Barcelona have an agreement with Memphis Depay but are waiting to offload Dembele first. And Ronald Koeman wants to sign Depay. But they’d have to sell Dembele first to acquire Depay.
Dembele is seen as Sancho’s alternative at United after they failed to match BVB’s asking price for Sancho.
Earlier today, French media outlet RMC Sport reported that Ousmane Dembele is set to stay at Barcelona. This has been further confirmed by tier 1 journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi.
Dembele didn’t train with Barcelona today and he’s open to the idea of joining the Mancunian club.
Watford’s Ismaila Sarr – one of other Sancho’s alternatives – was also approached today morning. However, the club refused United’s interest.
Dembele could join star striker Edinson Cavani and Brazilian Left-Back Alex Telles at Manchester by the end of this deadline day.
