Manchester United tie down teenage winger Noah Ajayi

Manchester United have confirmed that youngster Noah Ajayi has signed a long-term professional contract.

The 17-year-old primarily operates from the left wing, but can also be deployed as a striker. He likes to cut inside and has blistering pace to beat his markers.

Ajayi, described as an ‘exciting youngster‘ by the United website, started his career with German side TSV Sasel before joining the Red Devils.

He made his debut for United 18s in the 2024/25 season, but only became a regular last season.

Ajayi made 18 appearances in the U18 Premier League last term, scoring seven goals. He made notable contributions in the victories against Derby County and Stoke City, netting a brace in both fixtures.

He also played a crucial role in Man United U18s run to the FA Youth Cup final, where they lost to Manchester City. He netted twice in the competition.

Ajayi still remains part of Darren Fletcher’s side, featuring twice in the league this season. He also made his UEFA Youth League debut against Sabah FK.

At international level, the young attacker represents Germany U19s. He is also eligible to play for Nigeria through his father.

Ajayi’s versatility could boost his chances of breaking into the first team, considering the number of players competing for a place in Michael Carrick’s side.

By giving Ajayi long-term contract, INEOS continues to demonstrate their commitment towards developing United’s academy, despite JJ Gabriel’s imminent departure.

The Mancunian giants recently completed the signings of Karim Cassim and Isaac Konde from rivals Manchester City and Liverpool respectively, adding to their pool of talented players.
