Italian champions Juventus have agreed on a deal to sign Bayern Munich left-back David Alaba. United were heavily linked with David Alaba in the summer.
According to reputed Italian news outlet, Calciomercato, Juventus will sign the Austrian on a free transfer after his contract expires next summer.
They beat the Manchester duo, United and City for his signature.
David Alaba has been one of the best left-backs in the world.
He has been at Bayern since 2008, making 389 appearances and winning nine Bundesliga titles, six German Cups and two Champions Leagues in the process.
His star studded time at Bavaria runs out in 2021.
Bayern have tried to keep the Austrian international in Germany, offering him a contract extension. But, the negotiations have turned sour, leading former President Uli Hoeness to call his agent a greedy piranha.
Manchester City were favorites to scoop the Austrian in this year’s market, but their interest cooled off after they failed to include him in a swap deal with Leroy Sane.
Man United were also interested in the left-back, but went with Brazilian defender Alex Telles after no breakthrough was made.
David Alaba is valued at €65 million by Transfermarket.
