Manchester United target Jadon Sancho is happy to stay at Borussia Dortmund

Manchester United’s pursuit of Jadon Sancho struck a dead end. United refused to pay Borussia Dortmund’s €120m asking price. And Dortmund are not going to entertain any offer below €120m.

Another twist of the knife in Manchester United’s heart is the reports from Daily Mail which state that Jadon Sancho has told his teammates that he is not leaving Germany this season.

This follows another report from Germany of Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Burki telling the media that the winger is ‘happy‘ at Dortmund.

“I wasn’t 100 percent expecting him to stay, but I hoped he would. It has always been clear that you have to pay a certain amount of money to buy a player of his quality. But because of Corona, it’s not as easy for the clubs as it was before,” Burki said in an interview with Kicker.

He added: “I don’t believe that Jadon is sad that he will continue to be a part of Borussia Dortmund. He comes to training with a smile and is happy to be with us. Jadon is still a top player next year. Time is not running out for him. Besides: He has developed as a personality.

“I am not aware of any current events that give cause for criticism. Jadon hasn’t done anything wrong in two and a half weeks of pre-season so far.”

A vote of confidence from the Goalkeeper made it more clear that Sancho is going to stay at Dortmund.

United’s hunt for Sancho is nearing its end with the Red Devils missing their aim once again.
