Manchester United have faced another backlash as their target Jens Petter Hauge is all set to join Italian club AC Milan.
Hauge is a brilliant prospect and one of the few Norwegian youngsters to look out for. United’s scout have been keeping tabs on Hauge for some time now.
Reliable transfer journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft understands that the 20-year-old Norwegian is reported to have his medicals at Milan’s facility this afternoon.
Petter Hauge was considered as an alternative to Jadon Sancho. Manchester United have been in the pursuit of Sancho for a very long time now. The Red Devils are denying to match BVB’s €120m valuation for Sancho and are looking to sign some alternatives.
Expressing his interest to play for the Italian giants, Hauge said:
“It’s a club I would like to play for. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world, I got a taste of both the city and the stadium. I have not been to Maldini’s office but I can confirm that I greeted him.”
Hauge’s contract at Bodo/Glimt is set run out next year. Leeds United were one of the most coveted admirers for the 20-year-old.
