Manchester United suffer transfer blow as £50m rated center-back is keen on staying at current club

Manchester United are in a hunt for a center-back in this window. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants more competition amongst Harry Maguire, Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof.

Dayot Upamecano is United’s top target. Brighton’s Ben White is also one of the names on United’s wishlist. White spent a brilliant spell at Leeds United. The likes of Chelsea and Liverpool are linked too.

United need to sign a center-back as Chris Smalling is set to depart the Theatre of Dreams.

White looked a decent center-back option for Solskjaer but he’s tied down too. Earlier this year, Upamecano signed a new contract with Leipzig too.
