According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United are still interested to secure the signature of star midfielder Jack Grealish who is currently on the books of Aston Villa.
However, United will have to pay a whopping £100 million transfer fee to bring the 25-year-old from Villa Park to Old Trafford.
The talented attacking midfielder will visit Manchester tonight to play for the Lions against the Red Devils at the Theatre of Dreams.
Grealish was a top target of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in the summer, but a deal couldn’t be reached as there were major differences between the two concerned clubs over the player’s valuation.
The Premier League heavyweights were ready to offer a maximum of £65 million while the Villans wanted an astronomical £100 million.
United then pulled out of the deal because their finances were hit by the Covid-19 pandemic plus they had splashed £39 million to sign Donny van de Beek from Ajax.
The England international went on to pen a new five-year contract at Villa Park, and so far this campaign, he has racked up 15 appearances in all competitions for the Lions, smashing six goals and creating eight assists.
The 25-year-old also made his senior debut for the England national side against Denmark in September 2020 and now he has five caps to his name.
