Manchester United should keep Paul Pogba if they want to challenge for titles

As the season comes closer to its conclusion, the talks about Paul Pogba’s future intensify.

The Frenchman’s contract is set to expire at the end of the next season and Manchester United are yet to agree a new deal with the midfielder.

They either have to offer a new contract now or cash in on him in the upcoming summer window.

Losing him for free in 2022 would be a bad move and United must avoid this happening if at all possible.

Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola claimed a few months back that his client is unhappy at United. However, things seem to have improved.

Famous journalist Fabrizio Romano shared Riaola’s statement on Pogba’s future at Old Trafford.

This indicates that staying at United is still a viable option for the 2018 World Cup winner.

The Red Devils have shown a significant improvement in their performances this season.

They seem to be destined for second place in the Premier League, behind league leaders Manchester City.

Adding more quality in the upcoming window will boost their chances of mounting a serious league title next season.

Pogba has been in excellent form over the past few months, showcasing his undoubted ability.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has eventually devised a strategy for pairing Bruno Fernandes and Pogba.

His decision to play the Frenchman on the flanks has paid off, with Pogba given the freedom to venture forward and create goalscoring opportunities.

He already has six goals and six assists this term. In his last three Premier League starts, he has provided three assists.

The Red Devils would get a hefty fee if they decide to part ways with the player in the summer. However, they would be losing one of the best midfielders in the world.

Allowing him to leave in the summer will decrease United’s attacking prowess. The Red Devils need to tie down Pogba to a new deal.
