Manchester United are looking to offer a new contract to Alejandro Garnacho.
The youngster made an impressive full debut for the Red Devils in their 3-0 Europa League win over Sheriff Tiraspol last night.
According to Samuel Luckhurst of Manchester Evening News, United are ‘progressing with talks over a new contract’ for the teenager.
His current deal expires in 2025. Considering his stock is rising sharply, United want to tie him down to a longer contract.
Alejandro Garnacho has a bright future
Garnacho is highly rated at Old Trafford. He broke into the first team under Ralf Rangnick last year.
Since then, the teenager received a senior international call-up with Argentina in March.
Erik ten Hag has had him on the bench for most of this season before finally handing him a start against Sheriff in midweek.
Garnacho looked unfazed and offered a substantial threat down the left flank. The young Argentine came close to scoring a goal but was unable to keep his shot on target.
He received a huge ovation from the home crowd when he was replaced by Donny Van De Beek in the last few minutes.
The Red Devils should offer him a new contract soon.
If Garnacho can become a high-profile player, United will save plenty of money in the transfer market.
