Manchester United have received an injury boost with midfielder Paul Pogba fancied to make his first-team comeback ahead of the Manchester Derby next month.
The Frenchman has played no part for the Red Devils since the end of September and during this period, he has been recovering from an ankle problem which was aggravated while playing against Arsenal.
Pogba had the cast on his ankle removed during the recent international break and it appears that he may not far away from making a return to the playing field for the Red Devils.
According to The Sun, the midfielder is currently working on his fitness after an extended time on the sidelines but he could feature for the Red Devils in about 10 days’ time.
Pogba has managed just five appearances in the Premier League this term and his only meaningful contribution came during the season opener against Chelsea, where he grabbed a couple of assists.
Still, he is undoubtedly one of the club’s most influential players and without him, the club have lacked the creative force from the midfield with both Andreas Pereira and Fred struggling to impress.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rushed Pogba to first-team action when he previously returned to training after an ankle concern but the Norwegian will no doubt take more caution this time around.
As per The Sun, he could make his comeback ahead of the derby against Manchester City on December 7 but it would come as a surprise, if he makes the starting XI in a game which will involve high intensity.
