Manchester United are willing to offload Dean Henderson in the summer transfer window.
According to a report from Football Insider, Henderson’s demeanour has not impressed the Red Devils’ coaching staff and they will let him leave for the right bid.
The 24-year old shot-stopper was expected to play a back-up role to David De Gea this past season.
He was given the opportunity to push his claim for the number one jersey when the Spain international took paternity leave.
The young goalkeeper was vocal from the back and produced some impressive displays.
When De Gea returned to the squad, he was forced to sit on the bench as Solskjaer favoured Henderson for the Premier League games.
The England international started 10 of the last 12 league games.
However, his performance in the 4-2 defeat to Liverpool drew heavy criticism.
The manager preferred De Gea for the Europa League final which the team eventually lost in the penalty shoot-out.
At a time when United are linked with many A-list players like Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Harry Kane, there is a major overhaul happening in the goalkeeping department.
Sergio Romero left the club last week and Lee Grant’s contract extension is yet to be finalised.
It is highly unlikely that De Gea and Henderson will both be a part of Solskjaer’s team next season.
The Red Devils have reportedly sealed the free transfer of Tom Heaton who will be making a return to Old Trafford after 11 years.
He may end up as the club’s number two if Henderson moves on this summer.
