Manchester United have officially announced the agreement to bring Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford this summer.
The club website released a statement saying: “Manchester United is delighted to announce it has reached an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of Jadon Sancho.
“The signing is subject to contractual terms and a medical, which will be completed after Jadon’s involvement in the UEFA European Championship.”
The England international has been on the radar of Red Devils for the last few transfer windows.
They came close to sign him last summer but the clubs were not able to agree on a transfer fee.
United will be paying around £73 million (€85 million) to acquire the services of the Dortmund winger.
It will be a delight to see Sancho link up with Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood at the Theatre of Dreams next season.
The 20-time Premier League champions did not take much time to wrap up this deal this summer.
Ole Gunnar Soslkajer will be pleased that the United hierarchy have backed him up signing his top transfer target.
Having him early in the window will give Solskjaer the opportunity to find the best playing style for his team.
The 21-year old is one of the finest young talents in Europe and is expected to light up the Premier League next season.
Sancho will undergo a medical ahead of his official unveiling as a United player.
However, the medical will only take place after the completion of England’s journey at the European Championships.
