Manchester United maintained their incredible form resurgence with an emphatic 4-2 home win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
Buoyed by a stunning 2-1 victory at Liverpool last weekend, United delivered another impressive performance, extending their winning league streak at Old Trafford to four games.
In addition, the Red Devils have now won three consecutive Premier League matches for the first time under Ruben Amorim, renewing fans’ optimism following a disappointing start to the season.
Only a point adrift of fourth-placed Sunderland, Man Utd have solidified their pursuit of a sought-after top-four finish, with the betting odds around a top four finish changing rapidly and a team recently mired in the bottom half of the league now fifth favourites to clinch a place in next season’s Champions League.
Priced at 3.25, Amorim’s charges rank just behind Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City in the betting market.
However, the 20-time English champions would be naive to take this run of form for granted, especially ahead of a daunting-looking November schedule.
Nottingham Forest (A) – 1/11/2025
After a remarkable 2024/25 season, Nottingham Forest’s form has fallen off a cliff at the start of 2025/26, with Evangelos Marinakis already sacking two managers.
Despite guiding the club back to European football for the first time in decades, Nuno Espirito Santo was relieved of his duties in early September, with Ange Postecoglou taking charge of the team.
Furious with Postecoglou’s eight-game winless run at the helm, Marinakis dismissed the 60-year-old only 18 minutes after a dismal 3-0 loss to Chelsea, making him the shortest-tenured manager in the club’s history.
Sean Dyche’s appointment failed to produce the desired effect as a 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth on Saturday left the Tricky Trees stuck in the relegation zone, with only one win from nine league outings.
With Forest bereft of confidence and out of form, this feels like a perfect opportunity for Man Utd to settle the score after suffering a league double at the hands of this opposition last season.
Prediction: Man Utd to Win
Tottenham Hotspur (A) – 8/11/2025
United’s trip to London to face Tottenham Hotspur will likely be a much sterner test for Amorim’s side, and not just on paper.
Spurs have been a thorn in Man Utd’s side lately, most recently beating them in last season’s Europa League final.
That’s not to mention that the Red Devils have failed to beat Thomas Frank’s team across their last five meetings in the Premier League.
With that in mind, United will need to be at their very best if they are to post their first league win in North London since October 2021.
It’s also worth noting that United lost their last two away league matches against Tottenham without scoring.
However, with Man Utd’s ‘Man of the Match’ against Brighton, Bryan Mbeumo firing on all cylinders, Amorim’s men look destined to end their drought in the capital.
Prediction: Both Teams to Score
Everton (H) – 24/11/2025
Man Utd’s first game after November’s international break brings Everton to Old Trafford, with former United boss David Moyes returning to familiar ground.
After only losing once in the opening seven rounds, the Toffees suffered back-to-back defeats to Man City and Tottenham, failing to score on both occasions.
Another loss against an elite rival looks inevitable, particularly when factoring in Everton’s dreadful record against the Red Devils.
Before a dramatic 2-2 draw at Goodison Park last February, the Merseyside outfit had lost five successive league clashes against United.
Furthermore, the hosts have emerged victorious from their last three top-flight meetings at the Theatre of Dreams via an aggregate score of 8-0.
Prediction: Man Utd to Win
Crystal Palace (A) – 30/11/2025
Man Utd wrap up November’s Premier League action with an away match against last season’s FA Cup winners, Crystal Palace.
Palace looked like a well-oiled machine in the early stages of the season, but the wheels have since fallen off, with Oliver Glasner’s side going four straight games without winning in all competitions.
However, Selhurst Park remains an impregnable fortress as the Eagles have yet to lose a home league fixture this season, although three of their four such contests ended all square.
Ominously for Man Utd, Selhurst Park has not been a happy hunting ground for them lately. Indeed, they’ve won none of their last five visits to this stadium, drawing four blanks in the process.
Every tradition must come to a halt, and the Red Devils can realistically hope to end their barren run in London if they maintain this level of performance.
Prediction: Draw
