Manchester United news round-up including Mourinho, Sanches and Aubameyang

Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

Manchester United have agreed to pay €80m for Benfica youngster Renato Sanches, according to Record. They have published fresh reports that Man United are willing to pay €40m up front for Sanches with another €40m in bonuses and they support O Jogo’s claims Benfica’s president Luís Filipe Vieira was in Manchester this week to finalise negotiations over the 18-year-old.

Sky Sports News are reporting that no agreement has been reached between Man United and Jose Mourinho over the manager’s job at Old Trafford. The former Chelsea and boss is supposedly keen on the post should United look to replace Louis van Gaal in the summer, they suggest Ed Woodward is still mulling over whether the Dutchman will see out the remaining 12 months of his three-year contract.

MailOnline are suggesting that Man United have confirmed their interest in Borussia Dortmund’s £70m-rated striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ahead of the summer transfer window. Aubameyang has enjoyed a sparkling campaign for Dortmund this term, scoring 34 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga side.

Adnan Januzaj has named Luke Shaw as the hardest defender he has ever faced. Shaw started off this season in magnificent form having undergone an intense pre-season training regime and was one of our best players in the early part of this campaign but a cruel injury away at PSV Eindhoven scuppered his chances of having a breakthrough year with Man United.

Given the choice, I would say that Utd need Stones, Kante and Mane to complete the team before the likes of Sanches, regardless of his potential.
As far as the Mourinho saga, the longer it goes on the less likely his arrival, and LVG seems fairly confident of being at OT next season, so who knows. If LVG stays and we are served up the same brand of football with little at the end of it, then next summer when LVG clears his desk and leaves OT forever, he should take Woodward, Charlton and Ferguson with him. We’ve been blaming LVG for a long time now, but it’s no longer his fault. Everyone knows what he’s like and that he should have gone at christmas. As fans we can only make our opinions known but we don’t have the power of decision, that rests solely with the board. If they fail in their responsibilities, they should pay the price. Even if we win the F.A cup it’s only papering over the cracks, the team are not moving forward and it’s time for the board to stop closing their collective eyes and burying their heads in the sand and hoping it all gets magically better. They need to act, let’s hope they do. I’m not over excited by the prospect of Mourinho, but it’s better than what we have.

Despite some awful displays this season, the young players who have come through to the first team has given me reasons to be optimistic. Maybe Van Gaal should see out another year and continue to bring quality young players in? Let’s face it Mourihno isn’t best known for nurturing young talent, or at least bringing academy players into first teams. Of course I’m not happy with the style of football seen this season, but were Mourihnos Chelsea all that wow!!? I don’t think so!!
I have seen the United of old this season, albeit not that often, and I don’t blame the manager for all our failings this season, the players have got to take a good look at themselves to be honest! I know injuries haven’t helped with any sort of continuity, but that at least has given us the chance to see Rashford, Borthwick Jackson and Co. and I’m sure there’s a couple more who can break through aswell. This really would cement a solid backbone of young fellas, who’ve come through and know the United way.
If Mourihno wants the job as much as we hear, he can wait another 12 months, meanwhile we encourage youth for another year realising that we have the building blocks to dominate English football for at least a decade.

Sell players like: romero, varela, valencia, jones, mc nair, love, rojo, carrick (he will be retired), rooney, bastian, memphis, mata, herrera, lingard, januzaj.

BUY: Navas, isco, kroos n varane from Real Madrid; hazard from Chelsea, imbramovic from Paris; kante n mahrez from Leicester; alli n kane from Tottenham; Garay as a CB.

Love this talk. As soon as anyone gets a new manager its all about who he can pull in. I love it. Love seeing all these big names in the same sentence as Man UTD. Truth is though, they will want to play in the champions league. Aubameyang will either go to Bayern or Madrid in my eyes. Failing that, if Arsenal throw enough money at him he will go there. I think Jose will bring in young talent that will want to learn about how to play in the premier league under one of the best managers ever. I dont think these top class players are bothered about the manager too much anymore, its all about the level of football they can play at and how much money they can earn.
