Manchester United monitoring Flamengo wonderkid with a €50m release clause

Marca reports that Manchester United are keeping tabs on Brazilian wonderkid Fabricio Yan. Flamengo have protected their 16-year-old “asset” with a €50m release clause until 2023 [source: Marca].

The report also mentions that AC Milan and Paris Saint Germain are interested as well.

Flamengo’s fabled youth setup has recently exported Vinicius Junior and Reinier to Real Madrid, and the Brazilian club are famous for producing some of the best talents in the game.

Yan joined Flamengo when he was 13. He is an attacking midfielder and is highly-touted as a teenager.

As a result of Brexit, Premier League recently passed a rule which doesn’t let clubs to sign foreign players below the age of 18. This means even if United wanted to sign Yan, they’d not be able to for the next two years. He’d also have to secure a work permit.

There’s very little information on Yan’s style of play to determine whether United should or shouldn’t sign him. But, yes, he’s definitely a one to keep an eye on.
