Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has completed his loan transfer to Eintracht Frankfurt for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.
The Athletic claims the transfer deal is ‘set to go through when the winter transfer window opens on January 1’.
Frankfurt will have the option to sign Van de Beek on a permanent deal for €11 million plus add-ons.
The Dutchman completed his medical earlier this week.
Donny van de Beek never really got going at Man United
A combination of limited game time and injuries prevented Van de Beek’s Man United career from taking off.
He has made 62 appearances for the Red Devils over four seasons and just one Premier League appearance this term.
Erik ten Hag’s arrival at Old Trafford was the last hope for the midfielder to revive his career after previously shining at Ajax.
However, he has failed to re-establish his reputation.
The former Ajax manager has not utilised Van de Beek even with numerous injuries in the squad. Youngster Kobbie Mainoo has been preferred in recent weeks.
This was enough to indicate to the Dutch midfielder that his future is not at the Theatre of Dreams.
Hopefully, he can impress everyone at Frankfurt and seal a permanent move to Germany next summer.
Man United would love to get him off their books to create space for future signings.
