Manchester United midfielder Amad Diallo provides fresh injury update

Manchester United attacker Amad Diallo has provided an update as he looks to return to full fitness after suffering an injury in July.

The Ivory Coast international sustained an ankle injury against Arsenal during the pre-season tour of the United States and was seen leaving the stadium in crutches.

Diallo has been recovering since then and appears to be edging closer to full fitness.

The 21-year-old had a productive loan spell with Sunderland in the Championship last season, bagging 14 goals and four assists in 43 games across all competitions.

He was looking forward to forcing his way into the plans of manager Erik ten Hag before injury struck and will be desperate to return to action.

Man United have been beleaguered with injuries this term and having Diallo back as soon as possible will come as a huge boost.

He took to Instagram to give a positive update this afternoon, which would leave the fans excited.

Diallo joined the Red Devils from Atalanta in January 2021, making his first-team debut in December before joining Rangers on loan for the rest of 2022-23 the following month.

He would have fancied his chances of playing regularly this term and would have got opportunities after Jadon Sancho was dropped due to disciplinary reasons.

Antony also recently returned to action after he was given a brief leave of absence following accusations of physical assault from three women last month.

It remains to be seen whether Diallo will be available for selection this month, but he should be fully fit heading into the second half of the campaign and could be back by December.

He was linked with loan moves away from the club again before his injury, and some of those clubs and other suitors could return for his services ahead of the January transfer window if Man United make him available for a temporary exit.
