Earlier this week, Manchester United made progress in signing Italian wonderkid Sandro Tonali. The fee was reported to be around €35m.
Tonali was one of Brescia’s best players this season. However, they got relegated. Club President confirmed that Tonali prefers to move to either Inter or Juventus.
Juventus dropped their interest early on. Inter Milan’s recent persuit of Arturo Vidal could’ve given the Red Devils an upper hand.
However, Fabrizio Romano confirms that Tonali will stay in Italy. The 20-year-old has agreed on personal terms with Inter but have no substantial agreement with the club.
Romano also reports that AC Milan have joined the race to secure Tonali’s services too.
This shouldn’t come as a shock for United. The new season starts in less than three weeks and the club hasn’t made any signings. The Reds have earlier failed to land Kalidou Koulibaly, Gabriel Magalhaes, James Rodriguez, Dayot Upamecano, James Maddison and so on…
