Manchester United loanee Sancho produces another disappointing performance in Dortmund’s win over Union Berlin

Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho returned to Borussia Dortmund on loan in January in a bid to revive his career.

However, the 23-year-old has failed to make a major impact with the Bundesliga outfit.

He has contributed only two assists in just eight league appearances.

Sancho’s struggles continued as he delivered another anonymous display in Dortmund’s 2-0 victory over Union Berlin on Saturday.

Dortmund initially struggled to get going but broke the deadlock on 30 minutes through Karim Adeyemi.

Ian Maatsen added another late goal as Edin Terzic’s side sealed a 2-0 success.

Sancho, who recently showed some signs of improvement against Hoffenheim, produced a lacklustre display and looked fortunate to stay on the pitch for as long as he did.

The England international didn’t pose any real attacking threat and lost possession 14 times.

He had 53 touches in the game with a pass accuracy of 85 percent. He made six dribble attempts but was successful on only two occasions.

Sancho made a clearance and contributed a key pass but won only two of his eight ground duels.

The forward must step up his game or he may find himself out of the starting XI.
