Manchester United are increasingly confident of landing the services of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Sancho is currently one of the most sought-after wingers in world football and he has enjoyed a terrific 2019/2020 season, where he has contributed 17 goals and 19 assists from just 35 games for Dortmund.
As a result, his reputation has been rising steadily and that has caught the attention of several elite European clubs including United, Liverpool and Chelsea.
However, according to The Mirror, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are clearly leading the race for the player, given they are presently the only team willing to meet Dortmund’s £120m price tag.
It is added that Sancho also prefers to make the move to Old Trafford during the summer, given he would get the opportunity to play alongside the young brigade at the club.
Solskjaer has effectively strengthened the squad in the past two transfer windows and each of the club’s signings in that period have had an impact on the club’s performances in a positive manner.
At full strength, the Norwegian would definitely have Anthony Martial leading the line with Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes taking up the left wing and number 10 positions respectively.
The right wing position, however, remains up for grabs next season, considering Daniel James has been inconsistent in his debut campaign while Mason Greenwood is still in the early development phase.
As such, Sancho would seamlessly fit into the right side of the club’s attack and he would provide the Red Devils with a regular goalscoring threat, which they have lacked from that position.
