Manchester United are peculiarly going shopping for a right-winger and left-back this season.
Bradon Williams had a breakthrough season with the first team. He averaged over 2.5 tackles+interceptions and 1 successful dribble per game. [WhoScored]
However, Williams’s performances in Luke Shaw’s absence proved he could be a squad player at best. Shaw, on the other hand, is unreliable due to his injury problems.
According to Calciomercato and Corriere dello Sport, United reignite their interest to sign Alex Sandro.
Sandro is a massive upgrade over Williams and Shaw. He is very comfortable on the ball, defensively astute, and makes overlapping runs whenever required.
United were previously linked to Ben Chilwell [Metro] too. However, reports from Sky Sports suggest that Chilwell favours Chelsea more.
Sandro is a decent player but is a bit too old for Solskjaer’s liking. The Norwegian wants to sign young talents and given Sandro is 29, it is highly unlikely United would sign him.
Nevertheless, United’s awry and slow approach to the transfer market could result in the Brazilian left-back earning a move to Old Trafford.
