Manchester United have completed the signing of Amad Traore from Atalanta, as per Fabrizio Romano.
Traore will join United in January after gaining work permit in the UK. United will pay €30m + add ons to sign Traore. The Red Devils are convinced that he could turn out to be Dejan Kulusevski who joined Juventus earlier this year for €45m.
Traore was all set to join Parma on loan. However, the deal fell through and United capitalised.
Atalanta is known to have the best academy in Italy and Traore is one of the sharpest. Here is a video showing you glimpses of what he can do:
Atalanta captain and Argentine international Papu Gomez speaks highly of Traore:
He’s a future star, trust me. During our training sessions he seems like Messi! You can’t stop him, he’s unbelievable, our centre backs have serious problems when Traoré is on the pitch… he’s fantastic!
However, there are concerns over the 18-year-old winger as he’s just played 25 minutes in Serie A. United have a rich history of signing youths. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s mindset to turn to old ways could yield sweet results for Manchester United.
