Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has a knock, not available to face Leicester City today

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has confirmed that Turkish goalkeeper Altay Bayindir will not be available to face Leicester City in the FA Cup fourth-round tonight following a knock.

The 26-year-old was expected to be in goal against the Foxes following an impressive performance last time out in the FA Cup against Arsenal.

However, the Man United second-choice will not be involved today due to a knock, with Cameroon international Andre Onana set to be involved in action as Tom Heaton is also out injured.

Amorim will hope both Bayindir and Heaton can return to action sooner rather than later as having only Onana fit in the department is not encouraging.

Man United face Tottenham Hotspur next weekend ahead of a run of important Premier League matches, and they need their best players available going forward if they want to end the 2024-25 campaign well.

The Red Devils are already thin at the back, with Lisandro Martinez out of the season after suffering an injury to his cruciate ligament and Luke Shaw recently suffering a setback in his recovery.

They have sent Tyrell Malacia on loan to PSV Eindhoven, but they signed Denmark international left-back Patrick Dorgu from Leece and also brought in teenage defender Ayden Heaven from Arsenal.

Man United will fancy their chances of progressing to the fifth round of the FA Cup at the expense of Leicester tonight despite their injury woes, and they could do with a victory right now as they look to bounce back from the Premier League loss at the hands of Crystal Palace at Old Trafford last weekend.

They still have a chance to end the season with silverware, and will look to give their all in the FA Cup and Europa League as those competitions could be their only avenues to seal European football next term.
