Manchester United have just confirmed that France and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is set to undergo medical at AON training complex and have used the hashtag ”Pogback”.
The Manchester Evening News have reported that the Serie A side Juventus are in London for West Ham clash and their spokesman has confirmed the 23 year old midfielder has been allowed to go to Manchester to complete his transfer.
The official statement, released by United, regarding Pogba is: ”Paul Pogba has been granted permission to have a medical in order to finalise his transfer from Juventus to Manchester United.”
The Red Devils got £800k for Pogba from Juventus back in 2012. They are about to re-sign him for more than £100 million, which would set a new transfer record, shrouding the £86 million transfer fee that Real Madrid paid Tottenham Hotspur for Gareth Bale back in 2013.
As quoted by BBC, Sir Alex Ferguson, the United manager at the time when Pogba left the Red Devils in 2012, said on the player’s decision: “I don’t think he showed us any respect at all so, to be honest, I’m quite happy [he is leaving].” Pogba also expressed his unhappiness over the treatment from the Manchester club.
But as they say, letting go is knowing that there is a future, hopefully Pogba and United will go on to win many Titles and accolades.
