Manchester United begin their campaign by hosting Crystal Palace on 19th September 2020. The schedule was announced by the Premier League today. On Boxing Day, Leicester City will host United at the King Power Stadium, while the final match of the season sees United take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium.
With the promotion of teams like West Bromwich Albion, Leeds United, and Fulham, it is going to be interesting to see these teams in the premier league once again. With United’s historic rivalry with Leeds United, the fixtures against them are going to be one to watch out for.
2019-20 season was very ideal for Manchester United fans. United finished third after an inconsistent campaign in the league, we also saw rivals Liverpool win the league with total domination. Manchester United ended their season with a disappointing defeat to Sevilla in the UEFA Europa League semi-final on August 17th, 2020 earlier this week.
United need to upgrade themselves to hold their Champions League spot. United’s worst league total is 64 points under David Moyes in the 2013-14 season. Last season United finished off with 66 points, just two points above the worst accumulated points. It is just not good enough. With hopefully more quality addition to the team, we believe United can be more consistent in the coming Premier League.
