Manchester United are keen on recruiting the services of VfB Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade this summer, according to the Sun.
The Red Devils have been linked with RB Leipzig hitman Benjamin Sesko, but it appears the Slovenian is not the only number 9 from the Bundesliga on their radar, with Woltemade their latest target.
The 6ft 6in 23-year-old was the highest goalscorer at the European Under-21 Championship last month, notching six goals to help Germany under-21s reach the finals.
Man Utd are now keeping tabs on the £40 million-rated German, but it is unlikely they will sign both him and Sesko, and he could be a plan B should a move for the Leipzig star fall through.
Woltemade has also played twice for the senior German national team, and he could be a quality addition to the Red Devils attack after ending last season with 17 goals in 33 appearances.
Bayern Munich and Newcastle United also have the Stuttgart star on their radar, and more suitors could emerge in the coming weeks following his breathtaking performances at the Euro under-21.
Man United have already strengthened in attack this summer by adding Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha to their squad, but head coach Ruben Amorim wants a striker, and talks could be ongoing for both Sesko and Woltemade.
The German can also play behind a striker and on the wings, with his dribbling and technicality some of his biggest strengths alongside his aerial threat in both boxes.
The Werder Bremen academy graduate also boasts impressive vision and his physicality should see him be a big hit in the Premier League if a move works out.
The Red Devils have to make the best decision as they look to get an upgrade on Rasmus Hojlund, and while Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins brings Premier League experience and quality to the table, Sesko or Woltemade would be a long-term solution to their goalscoring shortcomings.
