Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe could join Trabzonspor in the ‘coming days’

Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe could be sold to Turkish club Trabzonspor in the summer transfer window.

That’s according to a report from Turkish publication Milliyet who claim that Tuanzebe could be a Trabzonspor player ‘within the coming days’.

The 24-year-old has spent the last three-and-a-half seasons away from Man United on loan with Aston Villa and Napoli respectively. And it now appears as though he could be set for a permanent exit from Old Trafford.

Tuanzebe clearly doesn’t have an open path to the United first-team under Erik Ten Hag. A move away from the 20-time English league winners will probably be good for his career.

And it seems as though there is one club in particular who are more than keen to sign him.

Trabzonspor move could be a good one for Axel Tuanzebe

The defender could be up for grabs for around £20 million this summer according to a report from The Daily Mail.

And with Milliyet claiming that seven-time Turkish league champions Trabzonspor want to sign him, his days at Old Trafford could well be numbered.

We think that Tuanzebe is a very talented player. His ability to play at both centre-back and right-back makes him a very useful squad member indeed.

However, it must be noted that he isn’t quite at the level needed for ten Hag, if the Dutchman is to bring the glory days back to the club. £20m would actually represent decent value for the Democratic Republic of Congo-born ace.

That kind of fee would help increase the United manager’s transfer budget this summer (and possibly invest in a right back).

It will be sad to see Tuanzebe leave United to join Trabzonspor. However, it does seem like a deal that has to happen for the club and the player in this summer transfer window.
