Manchester United have confirmed a triple injury boost ahead of their Premier League clash against Sheffield United this weekend.
The Red Devils have been hampered by multiple injury setbacks since the start of the season but they are slowly but surely witnessing the returns of some of their first-team stars.
In a recent update on the club’s official website, it has been revealed that Luke Shaw, Nemanja Matic and Axel Tuanzebe have begun training aside from the main group after overcoming their respective fitness concerns.
Shaw has been out of action since the backend of August with a hamstring injury and his absence has seen Ashley Young and Brandon Williams share most of the duties on the left side of the backline.
The England international may not be rushed to the playing field after an extended time on the sidelines and he may have to probably wait until the beginning of December before getting back into contention for playing time.
Meanwhile, Nemanja Matic has been absent for more than six weeks with an unknown injury and his return could be timely with Scott McTominay yet to recover from the ankle problem picked up before the international break.
Axel Tuanzebe, on the other hand, has recovered from the hip injury sustained during the warm-up before the Liverpool clash last month. Hopefully, he has overcome his fitness concerns and can finally compete for a regular role at the heart of the defence.
