Manchester United have confirmed that Christian Eriksen will be out for around a month and ‘hope’ Rasmus Hojlund will return before the end of November.
Eriksen and Hojlund came off injured in Man United’s 1-0 victory over Luton Town.
They subsequently withdrew from the Denmark squad and will miss their upcoming fixtures against Slovenia and Northern Ireland.
Man United have provided an injury update on the key duo on their official website: “Christian has a knee injury that is set to keep him out for around a month, while striker Rasmus suffered a muscle strain.
“It is hoped he will return before the end of November.”
Man United’s terrible luck with injuries continues
The Red Devils have certainly had their fair share of bad luck when it comes to injury problems.
The lengthening list of absentees will pile further stress on Erik ten Hag.
Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw, Jonny Evans and Amad Diallo are still nursing their injuries.
Man United fans were sweating on the fitness of Hojlund and Eriksen after the duo were substituted with injuries against Luton Town.
The midfielder left the field in the 40th minute due to a knee injury.
Anthony Martial replaced Hojlund after the £72 million star went down, holding the back of his right leg.
It is a major setback for Man United. They face some challenging fixtures after the international break.
After clashing with Everton at Goodison Park on November 26, they will face Galatasaray in a must-win game in the Champions League.
Hojlund is yet to open his Premier League account but has been magnificent in the Champions League.
He has bagged five goals in four group games and Ten Hag will want him to be fully fit for the trip to Turkey.
