Manchester United may have started the season in indifferent form but there have been positives from the fact that summer signings Daniel James, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire have quickly settled at the club.
All three of them were nominated for the Red Devils Player of the Month award for August and it has now been revealed that James has won the individual award after securing a clear majority of 61 percent in terms of the votes.

Compared to Wan-Bissaka and Maguire, James joined the club from Swansea City last summer without much pedigree but the 21-year-old has managed to make an instant impression with three goals from just four league appearances.
While his workrate and high pressing has been impressive to watch, he has also shown an improvement with the crossing on a game-by-game basis and he should have bagged at least an assist against Southampton last weekend, had Marcus Rashford performed better upfront.
Meanwhile, James’ performances don’t take away the effort put in by the likes of Wan-Bissaka and Maguire in the defence. Wan-Bissaka has been the standout defender during the opening phase of the campaign and he is currently the league’s leading tackler with 26.
Maguire, on the other hand, has experienced a couple of mixed games where he has not struck the understanding with central defensive partner Victor Lindelof, but things should get better as the season prolongs.
Manchester United are currently on a three-match winless streak and they have accumulated just five points from the first four league games. Following the international break, they are scheduled to face Leicester City at Old Trafford.
