Manchester United ran out emphatic 4-0 winners over West Ham at Old Trafford this afternoon to end the opening weekend of Premier League fixtures top of the table.

Romelu Lukaku scored a brace before Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba put the icing on the cake late on.

Many agree that Nemanja Matic was the man of the match today.  The Serbian led the pass attempts and touches category whilst no United player made more tackles than the centre midfielder.  Romelu Lukaku is a contender having scored two goals whilst Henrikh Mkhitaryan registered two assists.

Edimilson Fernandes had the visitors’ only shot on target as Javier Hernandez was reduced to only two efforts all game.  Joe Hart conceded with four of the six shots on target he faced in his return to Premier League action.  The England goalkeeper denied Juan Mata and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
