Manchester United will restart our Europa League campaign next month, following the conclusion of both the Premier League and FA Cup.
We are 5-0 up against LASK with the second leg still to be played on 5-6 August. After that, the quarter-final stage and remainder of the competition will take place in the German cities of Cologne, Düsseldorf, Duisburg and Gelsenkirchen between 10 to 21 August 2020.
The opponents for the remainder of Manchester United’s competition is as follows:
Quarter-finals: Copenhagen or Istanbul Basaksehir
Semi-finals: Wolves/Olympiacos or Sevilla/Roma
Final: Inter Milan/Getafe or Bayer Leverkusen/Rangers vs Shakhtar Donetsk/VfL Wolfsburg or Basel/Eintracht Frankfurt
The final takes place on Friday 21 August 2020 at FC Cologne’s RheinEnergieStadion.
We have been handed a favourable quarter-final tie. Both the Danish and Turkish leagues restarted and are due to be finished by the end of the month.
A potential semi-final against AS Roma, Sevilla or Wolverhampton Wanderers looks tasty. Olympiacos, who eliminated Arsenal, have a challenge to reach the final four. The Greek Super League finishes next weekend too, meaning they will have had nearly a month without competitive football before facing Wolves.
The final will essentially be anyone on the other side of the draw, including Internazionale, Shaktar Donetsk or Bayer Leverkusen.
