Manchester United reached the 2019-20 FA Cup semi-finals with a 2-1 win after extra-time away to Norwich City on Saturday.
The draw for the final four has just taken place at St James’ Park during the half-time break of Newcastle United versus Manchester City. The Citizens currently lead 1-0 in the final quarter-final tie.
Manchester United have been drawn against Chelsea. We hammered the Blues 4-0 at Old Trafford on the opening day of the 2019-20 season before winning 2-0 at Stamford Bridge back in February.
In the other semi-final, Arsenal will face Manchester City or Newcastle United.
Arsenal reached the semi-finals with a 2-1 win away to Sheffield United earlier today, joined by Chelsea following their 1-0 win at Leicester City.
The Red Devils reached the final four thanks to Harry Maguire’s winner in the 118th minute for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
We had originally taken the lead early in the second half with a composed volley from Odion Ighalo in the six-yard box.
However, the Canaries equalised 15 minutes from time when Todd Cantwell’s 25-yard strike managed to beat Sergio Romero.
Norwich were down to 10 men in the closing minutes of regulation time when Timm Klose dragged down Ighalo on the edge of the box following Bruno Fernandes’ cheeky through ball.
The FA Cup semi-finals will take place on the weekend of 18-19 July at Wembley Stadium. We had originally been scheduled to face West Ham United in our penultimate Premier League game this weekend.
