Manchester United shared the spoils against Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Red Devils ended a two-match losing league streak with a 1-1 draw at the Vitality Stadium.
The club had better chances over 90 minutes but lacked the cutting edge in front of goal.
Rasmus Hojlund scored a late stoppage-time equaliser against 10-man Bournemouth.
United had several players who were far from their best. We were particularly disappointed with the performance of Patrick Dorgu, who started from the left wing-back position.
The Dane was partly responsible for the Cherries’ opening goal after losing possession to Adam Smith in the lead-up.
Overall, the 20-year-old lost possession on 16 occasions in 89 minutes (once every six minutes).
Dorgu won eight duels and two tackles but struggled in the final third. Bournemouth’s high press unsettled him.
The former Lecce defender had 64 touches against the Cherries with 27 passes but failed to complete any of his five crosses.
Dorgu, who finished the game on the right wing, received a 4/10 rating from Manchester Evening News.
The Red Devils looked a better attacking force after Luke Shaw moved into the left-back position late on.
Shaw made several overlapping runs and delivered some quality crosses into the Cherries box.
Bournemouth saw off the threat, but Shaw showed what United were missing in his injury absence.
In our view, Shaw should start at left wing-back in the first leg of the Europa League semi-final against Athletic Bilbao on Thursday evening.
This could mean a back three of Leny Yoro, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof if Matthijs de Ligt and Ayden Heaven are not fit to return.
Noussair Mazraoui should continue at right wing-back, with Diogo Dalot sidelined with a calf injury.
Whether manager Ruben Amorim tweaks his defence remains to be seen.
Dorgu has performed below-par over the past few outings. He should come on as a substitute for Shaw after the hour mark at San Mames.
