Manchester United are set to face Norwich City in the 2019-20 FA Cup quarter-finals.
The FA are doing all they can to get the competition finished this summer and have now released provisional dates for the conclusion.
We are due to face the Canaries at Carrow Road in a game that was provisionally set for Sunday 22 March but is now scheduled for either Saturday 27 or Sunday 28 June 2020.
Manchester United thrashed Championship side Derby County 3-0 at Pride Park in the fifth round back in February to set up this tie.
Norwich were propping up the Premier League table with 21 points from their 29 games prior to the suspension of football in England in mid-March.
We have done the double over Daniel Farke’s side already this season – winning 3-1 at their place back in October before thrashing them 4-0 at Old Trafford in January.
The other three quarter-final ties are Leicester City vs Chelsea, Newcastle United vs Manchester City and Sheffield United vs Arsenal. With all eight sides remaining being Premier League teams, the FA shouldn’t have a problem getting the tournament completed.
The FA has stated that venues will be announced at a later date, whilst this initial schedule could still change:
Quarter-finals: 27-28 June
Semi-finals: 18-19 July
Final: Saturday 1 August
The 2019-20 Premier League season is initially set to restart on Wednesday 17 June, with our first game being away to Tottenham Hotspur the following weekend.
