Man United to face Borussia Dortmund in Las Vegas on Tour 2023

Premier League powerhouse Manchester United will take on Borussia Dortmund in a handsome-looking summer friendly in Las Vegas on July 30.

As announced on, the Red Devils and Die Borussen will trade tackles at Sin City’s Allegiant Stadium in late July as part of United’s Tour 2023.

Last week, Man Utd announced another exhibition match against Welsh outfit Wrexham at Snapdragon Stadium, San Diego, on July 25, which will get the club’s pre-season campaign underway.

Keen to see the world’s most famous club back in the United States for the first time in five years, fans have made their stance clear, as tickets for this match have already sold out.

If a game against a lower-league side owned by two Hollywood actors has drawn that much attention already, it’s hard to imagine how difficult it will be to get tickets for the Dortmund clash.

Man United and the Bundesliga heavyweights have faced each other only six times despite their rich European histories, most recently meeting in a competitive encounter in 1997.

However, they last shared the stage during United’s 2016 China Tour when a Thomas Tuchel-led Dortmund side trounced Jose Mourinho’s team 4-1 in Shanghai.

The upcoming showdown in the ‘entertainment capital of the world’ will present US fans with a rare opportunity to witness the two European colossi go head-to-head first-hand.

Man Utd football director John Murtough shared his view of this exciting match-up.

“We have worked with the manager and his staff to provide a mix of competitive opponents to play during our tour of the US and we look forward to the match against Borussia Dortmund,” he said.

Tickets for United’s upcoming clash against Dortmund will go on general sale from 5.00 pm on Thursday, April 6, but the season ticket holders will have the chance to pick up tickets on pre-sale from 8.00 pm on Tuesday, April 4.

As for the rest of Man United’s games and locations for the 2023 Tour, the club will release further updates in the coming weeks.
