Manchester United have been linked to a number of players ahead of this summer’s transfer window, with central midfielder Fred and full-back Diogo Dalot already signed.
Jose Mourinho is expected to spend a lot of cash again this summer as will still need to find another central midfielder to replace Marouane Fellaini, a left-back and potentially a new centre-back too.
However, we are being linked with moves for attacking players too. One name that has been mentioned a few times in recent months is Benfica’s Anderson Talisca.
The 24-year-old has just completed a two-year loan deal with Besiktas and the Turkish Super Lig side originally had the first rights on the Brazilian and could have signed him for €21 million (£18.4m). However, a disagreement with the player’s agent ended that their interest.
Now Portuguese newspaper O Jogo are reporting that we have made a €40 million (£35m) offer for Talisca. The report goes on to say that two Chinese clubs have matched the offer. Neither club is named however.
Talisca has made it clear that he wants to play in the Premier League though. The forward has previously been quoted in Brazilian outlet Correio da Bahia (va Sport Witness) as saying:
“England. For the fans, for being a theatre, a show, all games are a spectacle and I like it.”
Anderson Talisca scored 20 goals in 47 matches for Besiktas this past season including four in his eight Champions League appearances.
The Brazilian is capable of playing the number 10 and striker roles. He played up front for the Turkish side this past season.
