Manchester United have long viewed the January transfer window as a prime opportunity to send their young talents out on loan.
They have continued in the same vein this month, with Ethan Ennis joining Doncaster Rovers on loan for the remainder of the season.
According to journalist Steven Railston, Dan Gore and Harry Amass ‘could leave on loan this month’.
Gore made his senior debut in September 2023 under former manager Erik ten Hag. He was loaned to Port Vale last January but was sent back to United after sustaining an injury.
He returned to action in late September 2024 and has been in fine form. Gore was nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award in December.
Toby Collyer is ahead of him in the pecking order, and a successful loan move could set the stage for his comeback to the senior United squad.
Amass is another promising young talent on the brink of his breakthrough.
Injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia seemed like the perfect opportunity for him to step up and showcase his skills.
However, Ten Hag felt he wasn’t quite ready to handle the physical demands of senior football.
The 17-year-old is a highly-rated left-back who is known for his attacking prowess.
Manager Ruber Amorim loves nurturing young talent and will undoubtedly keep a close eye on Amass’ development.
A regular spot in a Championship or League One side could be the perfect platform for him to make significant progress over the next six months.
