Man Utd regular is a doubt for Newcastle game on Saturday

The Premier League returns to action next weekend after the final 2018 World Cup qualifiers have been completed.

Manchester United will be in action at home to Newcastle United in Saturday’s evening kickoff hoping to return to winning ways.

During the last international break at the beginning of October we lost Marouane Fellaini to injury.  The Belgian only returned as a second half substitute in our 1-0 loss at Chelsea last weekend.

Now Jose Mourinho has been handed a further blow as Phil Jones has withdrawn from the England squad ahead of their friendly with Brazil at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday night.

Jones was named as a starter in Gareth Southgate’s side on Friday night which held world champions Germany to a 0-0 draw in London.  However, the United centre-back was withdrawn after only 25 minutes after suffering a thigh injury.

Eric Bailly is currently away with the Ivory Coast squad, though Chris Smalling is at home and should be fresh for next weekend’s game versus Newcastle at Old Trafford should he be called upon.  Although Victor Lindelof has yet to settle into English football following his move from Benfica over the summer, the centre-back helped Sweden to a 1-0 win over Italy on Saturday night.
