Man Utd ‘particularly interested’ in signing Juventus defender Gleison Bremer

Manchester United are particularly interested in signing Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer this summer, according to Calciomercato.

The Red Devils were fancied to sign Napoli star Kim Min-jae earlier this month, but Bayern Munich are now clear favourites to land the South Korean.

United are currently assessing a move for Monaco’s Axel Disasi, but Calciomercato claim that the Red Devils are also in the race for Bremer.

The Brazilian only joined the Bianconeri from Torino last summer, but he could be sold for €60 million (£51m) after their Champions League blow.

The Turin giants were on course to finish in the top four of Serie A before they were handed a fresh 10-point deduction by FIGC for false accounting.

United and Chelsea are ‘particularly interested’ in bringing Bremer to the Premier League.

Bremer would be a good Min-jae alternative

United look set to miss out on signing Min-jae, and they could pursue a suitable alternative soon.

Disasi is eager to make the switch to Old Trafford but in our opinion, the Red Devils should prioritise a move for Bremer if he is available in the transfer market.

The ex-Torino star is a strong ball-playing centre-back. He completed an impressive 90 per cent of his passes per league game last term, far better than Disasi (84 per cent).

The 26-year-old also managed more tackles and clearances per outing (1 & 3.8) compared to the Frenchman (0.8 & 2.9), keeping more clean sheets (12 to 9).

Hence, Bremer would be a far better acquisition than Disasi for United, but they will need to be pro-active in their pursuit, particularly with Chelsea also interested.

The Blues are looking to finalise quick transfer deals this summer. They are currently in the process of recouping funds from player sales to reinvest on new players.
