Manchester United are keen to sign the club’s technical director Darren Fletcher’s sons – Jack and Tyler.
The pair have progressed through the ranks at Manchester City despite their father’s illustrious career at United.
The Manchester-born duo are regarded as two of the brightest prospects in their age group at the Etihad Stadium.
But they are now set to join the Red Devils after they started talks with their arch-rivals over a move to Old Trafford.
According to The Athletic, the two clubs are expected to complete the transfer for a substantial fee.
They are both 16 now but will be eligible to agree professional contracts when they turn 17 in March 2024.
City want to keep them at the Etihad, but the players reportedly favour a move to United where their father works as technical director.
Fletcher was an academy graduate of Man United before establishing himself in the first team.
The midfielder made 342 appearances for the club, netting 24 goals.
He was a very important member of Sir Alex Ferguson’s team during his initial years, helping them to lift five Premier League titles, one FA Cup, two League Cups and the Champions League.
Like the 39-year-old, his sons Jack and Tyler are also central midfielders.
The twins look very talented and will hopefully emulate their father’s achievements at United.
